MAXWELL’s FAQ’s

  • One of my biggest failures in my career in my opinion was not making the varsity team my sophomore year. Not only did it make me work harder in the off season, I knew I had to become stronger, faster, and more athletic while using weight training to play at the varsity level. During my sophomore year, I watched the varsity games and saw how the two levels were different, and stayed in the gym to end up starting varsity both my junior and senior year.

  • One of my most proudest moments in my basketball career was making all state as a senior because nobody really saw it coming or predicted that I would play and do the things that were needed for me to make that select group. Another thing was making the deans list my freshman year here at USD while playing, because I realized how much more time was needed to be put forth at the collegiate level and especially the D1 level while maintaining good grades.

  • The best advice I ever heard was trust the process. I feel like most athletes in high school change their bodies and how they play by their senior year. No matter your skill level, keep working hard and work to be the best you can be, and the rest will happen itself.

Another thing at college that I heard for advice was “if you’re juiceless you’re useless, if you’re juiceful your useful. No matter your role on a team, bring the juice everyday to practice and games and that will help you be a better communicater and better teammate!

  • One of the things I learned and like most about Seth and the Boom Athletics experience is the detail. Every lift or exercise we do, I can ask questions about the benefits this has, and why I am doing it and he can always answer why and how it will help me. Not only that, but Seth is so knowledgeable about dieting, and on the court basketball movements and where the exercises can make me a better basketball player. I am very honored to be apart of the Boom Athletics family, and even more so in regards to being a Boom Athletic Sponsored Athlete.
